The Shekinah Men’s Ministry
The men’s ministry serves a vital and necessary function in our local church. It also serves as a mechanism through which men are empowered to pursue excellence in all that they do and to become all that God intended them to be in the families, careers, leadership roles, and ministries.
The ministry is not limited to men in our local body but seeks to reach out to the wider community of men to bring meaning, purpose, direction, hope, and wholeness in Christ.
Our Vision:
Our vision for our men’s ministry is to become more and more effective as we empower and help men attain a high level of effectiveness and meaning in their lives. We aspire to be effective in facilitating growth and change in the lives of men in areas of spiritual, social, personal, emotional, relational, and intellectual.
Our Goals:
As a ministry, our primary purpose is to minister to the whole person, with the aim of leading men to a saving knowledge of Christ and facilitating growth and development in those called to the Kingdom of Christ. All activities are based on the objective of bringing the unbeliever to Jesus Christ, by encouraging and developing active participation of men in the ministries of the church. The men’s ministry is made up of men of all ages united by the following objectives and goals:
- To provide effective Christian leadership
- To inspire, teach and equip men to become involved in lifestyle evangelism
- To create opportunities for men to serve by challenging, training and involving them in their gifted ministries under the leadership of the Pastor(s)
- To challenge men to organize and support activities for younger men
- To challenge men to sponsor and participate in the growth of the local church
